New Zealand citizens have an advantage when purchasing property in Australia. If you are not a New Zeland citizen, you will need to apply to the FIRB (foreign Investment Review Board) for approval to purchase.
This is not a difficult task but the time it takes to get an approval can vary from application to application.
If there are any issues concerning citizenship these must be resolved before any purchase can proceed.
