OUR COMPANY

Roy Dykes has been assisting clients since 1986 to build their wealth. During this time whilst practising as a Qualified Accountant and Certified Financial Planner he has been able to assist many hundreds of clients with their estate planning and financial planning requirements.

One aspect which has always been a concern is the large number of clients who have a strong belief that property investment is the only investment sector worthy of consideration and this is largely due to the fact that "bricks ad mortar" can be "seen and felt" whereas most other investment types are represented by a piece of paper and as such are seen as not having equal value or being risky.

Of course most of us recognize that property investments are only one of a number of investment types – cash and bank deposits, govt stocks, corporate bonds, debentures, shares, etc and that it is imperative that investors invest across all sectors including property to ensure that the level of investment volatility is maintained at a reasonable level.

Property investments do however provide a significant advantage in that they can often be used as security for bank borrowings, the result of which is that the initial invested amount is less than with other investments and the "gearing" aspect means that the profit generated is achieved on a larger investment base due to the borrowings.

Chris Sweetman has undertaken many general management and marketing roles throughout his business life and like Roy has a desire to help New Zealanders build their assets in preparation for a comfortable retirement.

Through their association with Investment Property Research Limited from Christchurch, who have for many years facilitated clients to buy what will become valuable sections in the future and to build a suitable house that will enhance the property’s value, Chris and Roy have been able to assist many clients to purchase an exceptional investment as part of their investment strategy and which they will be proud to own for many years to come.
